| FollowFriday : On any given Friday, thousands upon thousands (maybe even millions) of Twitter users enter the hashtag #FollowFriday (or #FF), followed by one or more “mentions.” The idea is for users to share the names of other “interesting people” that they follow and think you should too. These recommendations serve as positive comment cards for the digitally inclined.
JumpstartMyPC.com has decided to bring FollowFriday to our blog. Read on and, if you are so inclined, add these “interesting people” to your own list. |
FollowFriday – Round 3
LogicBuy.com is another fantastic site for those who like bargains. According to their web site, LogicBuy.com “offers the most comprehensive coupon codes, deals and price drops from hundreds of popular merchants to save you the most money possible.” I visit LogicBuy.com Deals for the items that they post on their main page. These deals are submitted by users and then voted up or down, depending on the savings, availability, quality of the product, etc.
I originally wrote about LogicBuy back in December (article can be found here) and have been using the service since. Checking back on their main page today, I see that they have added some additional services, like TV and Stores.

Lifehacker.com may sound like a site for people that do illegal things on computers, but that is definitely not the case. On their own FAQ page, they define their site: “Lifehacker, the software and productivity guide, is a blog that covers tips and tricks for streamlining your life with computers (and sometimes without). Updated several times daily, Lifehacker points out software downloads, web sites, do-it-yourself projects, howto’s, tutorials, shortcuts and tips for going beyond the default settings and getting things done in the most clever, unexpected and efficient ways. Think of Lifehacker as self-help for power users.”
This is another site that I visit almost every day. You may not love every article, but with the range of topics they cover, it would be impossible not to find something of interest.
Web Site: http://lifehacker.com/
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/lifehacker (I was surprised to find that lifehacker does not post updates to Facebook. Instead, they let their fans post messages and share information)

FreeAppAlert.com is a must-see for iPhone/iPod Touch users and will soon be a great place for iPad users (pre-order starts today) to visit/follow. The idea is simple, each day they post the apps (from iTunes) that reduced their price to FREE! Apparently, many apps will reduce their price for a day or two to boost downloads and advertise, then return to their original price after a few days. The window of opportunity to download these FREE apps is small, but the list that FreeAppAlert posts each day is not.
