Way back when (Nov 16, 2009) I posted an article about the new clicker.tv web site.  The original article (posted below) highlighted some of the great features of this TV, movie and music aggregate web site.  Since that first post, clicker has gone and made some significant changes to its interface.  We’ve got the skinny on the changes and new functionality available at the click of a button (now on your mouse or remote control).

Fix it from Microsoft – Unemployment for PC Repair Guys?

QUESTION: Why is it that Microsoft, who produces the world’s most popular operating system, doesn’t provide users with simple, easy-to-use software solutions to the common problems found in many of computers still in use today?

At the risk of costing myself some paying customers and making my job look easier than it is, I am going to share a little secret with you.  Microsoft has attempted to answer a question that I have been asking for years (see above) by releasing a software that can help to fix your common PC problems.  That’s right, the new Microsoft Fix it Center (now in public BETA) is out there, ready to help PC users get the bugs out of their computer.

Boys and girls, it is official.  JumpstartMyPC.com is on the map and open for business.  We planned.  We strategized.  We worked and worked.  Now it is here.  Our official launch day is today.

Every day since our BETA launch, we have taken the time to share a new blog post about getting the most out of your PC, and we will continue those posts indefinitely.  Today, we just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to those of you who have already visited our site and welcome all of our new visitors.

BETA testing begins today

It is a huge day for JumpstartMyPC.com.  Not only are we about to begin BETA testing (see below), but we have a birthday in the “family.”   Tucker (one of our founding fathers) is celebrating his birthday on the same day as our BETA launch.  As if that were not enough to celebrate, we are also launching the blog section of the site.  This is the first official post of the blog.  Welcome!

BETA Testing – We have been working for months to build our business and we are ready to begin sharing with the world… or at least a portion of it.  Later today, our family, friends and Facebook fans (say that 5 times fast) will receive the BETA instructions and begin testing the site.  It is our hope that this small window of BETA testing will help fine-tune our site and get it ready for it’s official, global launch.

We look forward to many more blog posts and a successful venture in JumpstartMyPC.com.  Our goal, as we will undoubtedly repeat over and over, will be to help PC users get the most out of their computer.
